While all this may sound great for everyone developing games and enjoying them, it has the darker side of the picture that shows its dangers to its consumers.

It has been reported that 2% of Korea’s entire population is addicted to gaming, and this has compelled the government to take steps like requesting game developers to include advice in their games telling the users dangers of excess gaming.

As far as treatment is concerned, the most difficult part, like with every other problem, is to get the patient to acknowledge the problem, as many refuse to do it. It’s impossible for them to quit giving all their time to their favorite characters in games, and the emotional attachment that develops can make them go to any lengths to avoid being pulled away from the screens of their computers or televisions. Many others do agree that games inspire imagination, creativity, and team work. Their point of view, however, holds true when gaming is done in controlled conditions, and for a certain amount of time daily.
